VAT and import duties
Prices do not include VAT. We are based in Scotland, United Kingdom (UK); therefore, 20% VAT is added for UK customers.
Customers outside the UK are responsible for all VAT, duties, and fees incurred when receiving goods shipped from the UK.
Declared value for customs
The full paid price is declared on the customs form stating “Sale of goods” – no “Gift” or “Commercial sample”. Please do not ask us to deviate from this practice. We want to run an honest business, follow the rules and avoid any issues to us.
Payments and currency
Payments are processed by Stripe and accept major credit and debit cards. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported for fast checkout. Note that Kaamos Tech do not store any payment information; if you decide to save your card for future orders (no need to), the information is being saved with the payment provider, not us. See Privacy Policy for more information.
All prices are in British Pounds (GBP, £). If the currency of your payment method is different, check the exchange rates and fees with your bank.
Prices
Prices may and likely will change regularly. We run a micro business with very small production batches where recent wild fluctuations of component prices and exchange rates may change our costs significantly and quickly. Therefore, we may need to adjust the prices between batches.
Order processing time
All items available are in stock and ready for shipping. However, most items have options which are made to order, adding a small delay in the processing time. Moreover, due to part-time nature of the business, we do not ship orders every day.
In any case, we aim to get the orders out of the door within 3 days, and should it take longer we will inform you. If you need your order faster, please contact us first. In such case you probably want a faster shipping method as well.
Shipping methods and charges
The default shipping option is Royal Mail which is the ‘normal post’ in the UK, and then switches to the local postal company when arriving in your country. Unfortunately, we cannot know what are the local postal or courier companies in each country so please check you are happy with it. In terms of tracking, the service depends on the country and sometimes accurate tracking is not available even if tracked service is used.

*We use International Tracked when available; however, to some countries only International Signed is available and tracking may not be updated after the parcel leaves the UK.
Re-used packing materials
Small piles of packing material is gathered when ordering PCBs and components, including recycled paper-based padding (thank you Digikey) but also lots of plastic in the form of bubble wrap, and mini-grip and ESD bags. Instead of throwing these away, we re-use them when packing our orders. We hope you understand if the item you ordered is packed in a Mouser/Digikey ESD/mini-grip bag – they do use a lot of them! New materials are used when we run out of used materials so packaging may vary.
We aim to create our own labels in the near future to place over existing labels but for now the bags will say whatever components they used to hold.
